The original post was made more than a year ago, but I'd be very disappointed if Sony actually hadn't updated this after all this time.

While we're on the subject of things Sony hasn't gotten around to, I'm still waiting to play Spyro and CTR on my Vita, though. *looks at Sony*

Stating the vita was saved by CFW is complete BS. They've been able to check downloads every time a pirate release group released software online, seeing how many people downloaded what game on release day compared to consumer purchases. What's more, CFW had people buying used older model PSPs because they had more vulnerabilities. It's also easy to see how many people didn't buy accessories like cases that held multiple UMDs for easy access because folks weren't buying physical UMDs.

You guys bash on a system thats barely on its baby legs...

Look at the PS3's first 2-3 years.......hooooly hell they improved since.
I bought my Vita, yes ill admit it needs a few fixes like ps and a full psp library, and niconico streaming, but i still love to play Freedom Unite and Disgaea 3 on this bad boy and i cant wait to spend countless hours on Ragnarok Online Odyssey.

Remember, this is a gamer's last stand for the portable gaming scene not to be overshadowed with crap you call apps and....this idea where people think Angry Birds, is a "video game" you gotta support the vita and even the 3DS

I agree there are some things the Vita needs to have fixed, but these things will likely come in a future update. I just popped into this thread, so I skimmed most of what was written. I read something where someone complained that motion control, the cameras, etc, were merely gimmicks. I used to view such things as such, especially after seeing them in use on devices such as the iPod Touch/iPhone, the Wii, DS, etc.

I expected these features, minus the touch screen, to be mere gimmicks. However, upon using the VIta and using these features myself, I have to say the Sony has figured out how to make these features legit. Even the motion control, which I saw as the biggest gimmick ever invented, has been an excellent feature on the Vita. Sony has really outdone themselves by bringing us a system that could very well be described as the best of the PS3 and iPhone packed into a handheld. The Vita's features and capabilities are amazing. I have been using it almost as much as my PC, which is saying A LOT as I'm an avid PC gamer.

The Vita does have somewhat expensive memory, but it really breaks down to this: Do you want to pay more on memory cards so you can buy games off the PSN or do you want to go to the store and buy them on a cartridge. Paying a little more and having several memory cards is a very small price to pay for this incredible system.

Also, try EBay. You can probably find the memory cards cheaper there, even new. I haven't checked for them, but EBay always has excellent deals.

Moral of all this: quit whining about a few things that Sony didn't get around to yet. Give them a little time to update the VIta firmware and many of the desired features will likely come in due time. Sony worked hard to get the system and it's physical features to us ASAP. THat means that now they can focus more on the software/firmware end of the device. I'm sure if we give Sony a little time and some nice requests, we will soon see those features.

That said, I do hope Sony adds a copy/paste feature, a text chat feature on the Skype app (if Sony is in charge of said app), a notes app, the ability to download the psp demos (for old times sake), and various custom themes (I customize everything).

I'm also going to note that PSP demos aren't as important when you have a huge selection of Vita titles that have playable demos.
