The other gamers played on and left the body sitting there for nine hours.

Naw. I just don't see why someone would skip their doctor's appointment just to play a video game o-o
I have done this. Just rescheduled.
I'm just wondering, since they said the cause of death was organ failure (right?), wouldn't there at least be some preexisting condition that needed to be attended to?

3. Bad person, yeah sucks he died but did he seriously skip a doctor's appointment to game?
Possibly just worded your thoughts wrong?

(bolded because i messed up quote boxes)

There's plenty of courtesy around, sure some people are assholes (No arguments here), but generally if you're a nice person you'll be treated nicely by those that you see more than just a passing glance. You're still in High/Secondary school aren't you? Bit of tough luck there on the courtesy front I'm sure.

But since they were complete strangers, there was no opportunity for anyone to come into contact because he was 'sleeping', without someone initiating something first, which didn't happen.

Comparing those who willingly and knowingly ignore an innocent child being run over and a group of people engrossed in what they're doing and see someone who has seemingly just passed out isn't even in the same ballpark, it's not even the same league.

I look at it as a random person dieing in the amidst of a crowd.

If you passed out from being up too long would you want some asshole poking you? I wouldn't, let me get some sleep. Appreciate the thought but go away, now.
Actually, I would. Can't speak for anyone but for myself but if I passed out, I would want someone to wake me up. I'd rather not waste my money sleeping, or just go home to sleep instead of a cafe.
To each his own.

10 hours non-stop isn't hard if you've got no job or a day off with nothing to do.
Actually, it is. I've tried it, can't do it. Again, that's me, but you can only speak for yourself too. Obviously for this man, it was too much.
I'm not saying it wasn't too much for him or anything of the sort just that if you have something to occupy your time that you're interested in then it isn't the hardest thing in the world to do. I know many a gamer who have done it at least once, not saying it's for everyone though.

Skipping a doctors appointment for no good reason makes you a bad person? Wait... what?
Who said it made him a bad person? Just incredibly stupid.

They're stupid for minding their own business? So the guy spends his money 'sleeping' instead of gaming. Not their problem to tell him how to spend his time in the cafe, as long as it doesn't bother the other players of course.
Anyone with common courtesy (which doesn't exist nowadays) would kindly try to wake him up. And if you think it like that, where people just mind their own business, then apply it to the situation above and let me know what you think.

Dying from gaming though... if only gamers had the mindsets of vikings. It would be like dying on the battlefield.

Reminds me of that incident in China where a toddler got ran over by the truck. The truck backed up, and ran over her again. I don't remember how long but it was a while, people just walked pass her like nothing happened. Finally a old woman brought the child to the mother (where was she?) who took her to the hospital. Idk if the child survived. But passer bys said they didn't want to get involved with the "trouble" so they acted like nothing happened.
