My Dell Streak phone keeps freezing up and the touch-screen doesn't seem to respond well before and after this happens. But it's happening now on a day-to-day basis. The only way I can solve it is to removed the battery and turn the device on again. Not sure if the sd is corrupt or anything, but it does get annoying.

No but you were warned that the phone was being discontinued and never really had much support to begin with...best I could suggest is just restoring your phone and reinstalling everything.

Sadly, I know nothing about Handcent anymore as I didn't really rate it as an SMS app. Have you considered GOSMS Pro? I found that to be a lot less buggy as a whole.
And with Bluetooth, I would at first suggest force stopping your Bluetooth app, or possibly uninstalling and reinstalling it. Are you running a custom ROM?
To be honest, I think your phone is just on its last legs. A replacement is probably in order.

Several problems I have with my Dell Streak phone and would be grateful if you could help.
HANDCENT APP: I've had it a couple of months and for some reason all the custom colours etc I've done have changed. How can I change the colour of the text entry/edit box? It's sort of like orange and I dislike it.
BLUETOOTH: 'The application settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
My phone has been crashing lately and turning itself off, as well as freezing. Didn't know if you had any tips on how to speed it up and to save it keep crashing etc?

Dell Streak really isn't. The first one was the first Android phone I ever bought, so it was good at the time.
