Discuss your favorite asian foods here.

Mine would have to be Pho ( Vietnamese noodles) and Thai food. Those are just my 2 favorites, as I also enjoy sushi among many many others.

I like Japanese food and also Hong Kong dishes. I also eat Vietnamese pho and other delicacies of Vietnam.

I went to an authentic 四川 restaurant that reminded me of restuarants back in Chengdu. Their 夫妻肺片 was amazing.
Ah, i hear about them a lot but never tried it before either. It sounds really tempting. Though it reminds me of this youtube video of incorrect translation, where they translated to "Husband and Wife Lung Pieces" .

Haha. Love that stuff. I know its usually meant to be an appetizer, but I end up filling up on it before the meal even starts most of the time.

Another thing I miss from Chengdu is "mao fen". To describe it, it is kinda like pho, except with more vegetables than meat, the broth is spicy hot, and the pho noodles are clear. I used to eat that stuff for lunch everyday when I was in Chengdu.

I guess I really did miss the 雞蛋仔 then. We have them here too, and they're probably better than those i ate in HK back then. 福建炒饭 (Fujian Fried Rice) was one of my favourites too! There's another one similar to that, and its called 富豪炒饭 "fuu ho chow fan" at the restaurant I go to. The waiters called it "fut lo chow fan" though if that would sound more familiar. Its got similar ingrediates to Fujian Fried Rice, except its all stir-fry without any of the sauce.

Dim sum is my big time favourite!! I'd love to list some of my fav, but even that would end up in a big list.

Yeah!
Ah, I had it at a generic English/ Chinese restaurant as well. But it was sooo good ^__^.

Dim sum. I'm sure many chinese people have tried that right? Do you like, I don't actually know a lot of people who dislike it.

Is it that rice that has seafood gumbo poured on top of it? It sounds like a good idea, but I've only had it at generic American/Chinese restaurants, so it tasted bland and awful.

They still do sell 雞蛋仔! Lol, you just have to look out for them!
The ones on the streets are usually kinda eh, cold, plasticky taste (now anyways).

I do lurve them though, but only if they're cooked with coal. Does that make sense? Like BBQ, cooked with coal instead of like gas/ electric. And that was in Dai O (in HK). So nice and crunchy and it was made fresh!

I tried stinky tofu and I was like, this is tasteless man while my sister on the other hand was like, "Wow, yummm!" Then I realised I had to add sauces and stuff to enhance the taste which made it yummy XD.

I really want to try roasted potatoes, they're sweet potatoes right? . I've just heard that they're soo yummy.

Also, also, I REALLY want to try the food sold on the streets of Taipei. Like, fast food but cultural? They're like food stands, I think?

福建炒饭 (Fujian Fried Rice) is one of my many favourite dish!

They sound so delicious alright. I was actually looking forward to those stands when I went to HK, but sadly they don't have them anymore. And yup, those are made from eggs. I think they put the egg syrup into this pan with a mould. Then close it, flip it, leave it there for a bit, and voila!

Stinky tofu was sth that i was REALLY LOOKING FORWARD to trying... I still havent got the chance yet. I've heard how good they are.

Never heard of it. Is it made from eggs? Thats all I can guess from the name of it.

But food stands in China are just amazing. So simple and cheap, but most of the stuff they sell tastes better than any five-star restaurant. When I went to Shanghai, their stinky tofu stands put me off cuz of the smell, but when I actually tasted it, it was great.

Also, 2 years ago I was in Li Jiang for vacation with my gf, every street corner they had something roasting in their special coal skillet thing. The roasted potatoes and corn are to die for.
