Hey guys again, welcome to my third story this year. Got bored with the other one (fell to the curse of the SOTF), so I've decided to start the one I was going to do next year.
I need a large number of people (19 minimum, 25 ideal) to compete in the world's greatest league tournament for fame and glory. You will assume the role as a club's "God", essentially a guiding spirit in the early rounds of each season before watching your team attempt to use the hand they've been dealt to win trophies.
The 'competition' works in 8 Rounds, teasingly named but not explained:
Round 1: Allocation
Round 2: Out of a Hat
Round 3: The Twelfth Man
Round 4: Rivalled Talent
Round 5: Risky Business
Round 6: Make or Break
Round 7: Budgeting
Round 8: The Season
In Rounds 1, 3, 4, 5 and 7, you will be required to make difficult and risky decisions on aspects of club-life such as finances and transfers; each decision carries a risk however, and one wrong move could cost you and your team dearly - and derail your entire season.
More to be explained soon, but first I need a minimum of 19 participants: it's first come, first serve I'm afraid, so I apologize to anyone who didn't get into the top 19, your chances will come later in the season, and in seasons to come. You just have to be patient.
Yeah cool story bro but it's been nearly a month. I'm not saying he won't come back and continue it, I'm saying he should've handpassed this to someone willing to take it on...you know, someone who doesn't actually mind putting in a bit of effort. (That is to say, more effort than drawing the numbers 1-20 out a hat)
I guess he must have telepathically inserted the hundreds of numbers into a database, yeah? And made up 25+ seasons of testing data? He probably also hired a ghost writer to post each update for him too, right? Your argument is invalid.
A little common sense wouldn't go amiss here. It's clear a lot of work has gone into this story, and I personally would like to see it blossom into the story I'm sure CatchFire intended it to be if I myself wrote it. Perhaps he has a good reason for not doing the story at the moment? It seems like waaay too much work to just close it down now.
