Areas in Zelda games can be said to be easily distinguishable by the type of terrain. OoT features a number of different environments from luscious green fields to barren mountains and dry deserts.
So what were some favourites or least favourites? And what would you liked to have seen expanded or perhaps added to the areas of OoT?
I'd have liked more snowy area. Well, since the Ice Cavern is icy, a nice separate snow area altogether. I really like snow so I would've liked to have seen that somewhere.

Lake Hylia's warmth was the only thing keeping the Zora's Domain temperature warm enough to prevent it freezing? It's the only way it makes sense.

Stealing most of Lake Hylia's lake supply, thus freezing Zora's Domain just does not add up. There had to be more to it. Perhaps Ganondorf froze over the place? But then again, Ganondorf does not show signs of any ice abilities either. Huh.

Zora's Domain frozen over kind of irked me. It's said to be a result of Morpha's doing, yet Morpha never exhibits any abilities to do with ice or snow, and as we know its residence is the Water Temple. There is that little bit of snow out the back where Lord Jabu-Jabu was, but that's it.
... Life Mountain. xD Have it opposite Death Mountain, covered in snow.

I agree. It would have been nice to have a summit area, or something that could have snow. I mean, sure Frozen Zora's Domain is okay, but there's not really any snow.
Maybe if it was like in Twilight Princess, where is lead to the mountains and everything.
You know, I always wondered how that worked. OOT definitely came first, because it was a cave, then the top of the cave like, eroded or something, () and somehow a hole formed and led to the snow province. Ugh, complications.

Big? x3 It was absolutely giant. D: I could have just swam around it for days. It didn't even bother me that it was mainly just empty space because I love huge areas in games.
OoT's areas where a bit of a disappointment really. I did like that oasis are in front of the Spirit Temple because it was really pretty and calm. ^^
I think they should have put a swamp area for somewhere in the future. Swamps always give an air of mistreatment and disrepair. It would have really fitted to put it in a once bustling place of even Lake Hylia instead of freezing.

Which means they learned their lesson. The thought did pop into my mind too actually, haha. Being the sequel and on the same console and whatnot though it's definitely interesting to note.
I can't remember much of the lake from TP. I do remember it being big, but I can't remember much of what it had except some mini-games, haha.

I like how all of Dark Arcanine's suggestions thus far are basically the areas they put into Majora's Mask.

So far, nothing - and I mean nothing - has bested the Lake Hylia of Twilight Princess. That lake had so much room that I would be able to swim with a whale without having to struggle for swimming space.

Hmmmm, my favourite area of OoT... I guess I'd go with Lake Hylia. It just looks like a real nice, tranquil place to live, and further into the future of OoT's Hyrule I wouldn't be surprised to see it inhabited by a few more people.
