I suggest you go to the MHFU forum, there are more people and it is practically the same game where you are at, never mind. Ok, for tigrex I suggest a high raw/thunder gunlance.

The Tigrex is incredibly fast and this makes him a nightmare for some (including me) to evade. This is why I suggest a gunlance, you can do R-tri to poke his face and you can shell R-tri-O to shell his stomach/face. You must be guarding at all times to block his charges and spins, everything can be blocked, even this ground shovel move.
When he falls over or is in a trap you can do the wyvern's fire, O+tri to charge up an incredibly powerful blast, this will hurt a lot!
His defense is lowered when he is in rage, you can see when he is in rage when his arms become red and he charges really fast; these charges are stupid as if the first one is dodged or blocked he will not hit you again if you stay still.
Be patient, time your drinks (potions) keep your weapon sharp and most of all; keep guarding and never lose hope.

Just a note- do not get tigrex weapons or armor.
The weapons are powerful but they have horrible affinity- you have a 35% chance (on average) to deal a backwards critical (25% less damage) and this is a lot, a lot!
The armor is slightly better but the skills it offers are horrible.

P.S- Just make sure your weapon is a GUNlance. The lance's R-tri move goes forward and it cannot shell, this means you cannot kill it as quickly unless you are a pro.

P.P.S- What armor do you have? I suggest hermitaur armor for the Guard +1 (Lose less stamina when guarding, this will save you if it does a ground shovel at point blank)

P.P.P.S- Ceanataur armor works too because of the sharpening skills which will make you dish out more ouchies.
