So Mario Kart isn't known for having ground-breaking music. That doesn't mean that it isn't enjoyable though. Music can make or break a game, and thankfully Mario Kart's music has done a great job of capturing the atmosphere and mood of the gameplay. From all of these tunes, there must be one that stands out to you the most.
My question to you is simple: what is your favorite piece of music from the Mario Kart franchise?

All those which are Capitalized are my top notch favorite of all favorite Mario Kart music tracks
I think the music gets worse in the newer Mario Karts, considering I hardly like any of the new songs in Wii and MK7, though I do love the music from the retro courses.
I thought so too, but pretty much all of them have grown on me. I feel they're great all-around, MKW has some good themes for the bigger courses like toad's factory, grumble volcano, etc. and Bowser's castle 8-bit start is awesome.
MK7's are just awesome to me... especially when they go with the courses, like music park, and when the 1st place beat starts.

My favorite track is N64 Rainbow Road (whose isn't?). Anothyer fav is music park, especially because the pianos make sounds as you ride on them (Nice touch Ninrendo!)

Among others, I enjoy Rainbow Road (64, DD, 7), Bowser's Castle (again, 64, DD, 7), Toad's Turnpike (and the remixed version used for Neo Bowser City), Waluigi Pinball, the raceway theme from 64, and Waluigi Stadium. Absolutely fantastic music.

I like the whole soundtrack. Its brilliant. Especially melody motorway, rainbow road, bowsers castle and koopa cape.
They're all great, but if I had to choose, it would be Double Dash's Rainbow Road. <iframe width="853" height="510" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/MY7eXge0wwA?wmode=transparent" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I love all of the rainbow road music :3 The sound it makes is like your flying. Like in good egg galaxy.

I really like the courses that have multiple themes. Like Koopa Cape. MKWii had a bunch of them, but I think 7's Rainbow Road planet is the only one. Oh well.
As much as I hate this poor excuse of a track, I have to go with the horrid Rainbow Road 64. I absolutely love that music more than any track of any MarioKart game. Why such brilliant music on THAT track? >_>
The track isn't that bad. But I agree with you about the music.
Other favorite themes on tracks include Bowser's Castle (N64, Wii), Toad's Turnpike, Toad's Factory, Airship Fortress, Banshee Boardwalk, Maple Treeway, and the rest of the Rainbow Roads.
