So it definitely is stylised in the manner that letting Shaundi and Viola die is the canon ending. The fact that we actually see Daedalus in one ending, whereas the other ending implies it will be a plot device in the next game, pretty much means they're not going to waste another game on it. I doubt they'd really want to use the same villains, either. The fact that the save Shaundi ending ends on a joke and ends almost immediately, in comparison to taking on Killbane that ends in a dramatic finale really seems to cement that in my head.
If this is the case, the game just went from perfect to really annoying, imo. I seriously hope this isn't the canon ending because I don't know how I'd feel about Saints Row 4 in that case.

or maybe the saints made the movie as a message to show what would happen to killbane if he came back

I hate Shaundi in SaintsRowThe3rd. It's a shame Viola had to be stuck with Shaundi during that choice otherwise i would've blown it up myself & not think twice about it. I really dislike SaintsRowThe3rd Shaundi.
I hated the gangsters in space ending but i like Viola & it's ridiculous to have her & her sister die seeing as how they both are well connected & have great business sense. Even though i disliked the gangsters in space I hope it's the True ending. But i think they should alter it & keep it where Steelport has become a city-state.
I think that if enough people choose to save Shaundi She'll be alive in the second game like,Volition could set up a poll like did you save S haundi or did you kill killbane
Chances are Volition already know how many players chose to save Shaundi first. Most modern games send all sorts of information back to the developers if they are connected to the internet, so they probably have a pretty good idea what players did. That said they could go for the ending where Shaundi dies knowing that it will upset and annoy people like a death should. Volition are in a great position here as they could do anything.

So pretty base it upon fan-based choices? I think that is a great idea. I didn't care too much about Shaundi. I liked Viola better.

Gat isn't alive in the gangsters in space ending. The game actually tells you it isn't the real Gat in a post mission radio broadcast about the film. it says something like "the actor slatted to play the late Johnny Gat for the upcoming film its still unknown."
-snip- Though it isn't mentioned, when you choose to go after Killbane you find Angel overwhelmed - so think that means he dies off screen if you save Shaundi and Viola?
This is by far the best reason I've ever heard for saving the girls - I hate that wrestler.
...and that's including the possibility that Shaundi's responsibilities might include the occasional "feel boss".

It's been confirmed by violation the DLC pack gansta's in space will carry on from the main storyline, where the last mission of the same name carried off. Thus the canon ending is settled, shaundi and killbane live to fight another day.
