My girlfriend bought The Lion King in them Blu-Ray and DVD combo thing, but the Blu-Ray doesn't work. My TV comes up with an out of range message on a blue screen. The DVD works fine.
Any ideas?

Anyone find out what the problem is with the Lion King Blu Rays? We brought the first one we bought back and now the second one will not work. It just makes a really loud vibrating sound and nothing comes up. The DVD one works just fine.
All of our other blu rays work with no problem.

Seems to be my TV, HDMI Cable or PS3 that can't play Blu-Rays in HD Just tried The Expendables

Have you tried with the AV/Component Cables like me? It works with them but not with the HDMI cable
I also can not get my Lion King blue ray to play on my ps3 but I just get an error that says can not play movie then goes back to the home menu. Any ideas? all my other blu-rays work fine
Lots of people seem to have problems playing the Lion King disc.

Can it be a HDMI or TV problem? I've tried it in 576p, 720p, 1080i & 1080p but none worked. However, it works with the AV Component cable (coloured wires).
I know it works, its just my TV comes up saying out of range after its loaded the disc. I have to quit by pressing the PS button, pressing left then X.

I'll try later.
Running at 720p has reduced loading times on most games, and reduces lag while online, in my experience anyway

That's really strange. I really can't see it being an error with your disc drive because it should tell you you have an error reading the disc.
Have you tried running it in Standard Definition just in case mate, or even 1080p?
As a quick side note, someone can happily suggest I'm wrong here, but I'm fairly confident changing the resolution on a Playstation or Xbox shouldn't affect the gameplay smoothness. On PC it definitely does because it's uncapped, but on console you'll have capped FPS (30/60 depending on what title) and minimal draw distances (and other settings) to relax strain to a comfortable point; it should theoretically play pretty much the same regardless as far as I thought. Might be wrong there though.

Where did she buy it from? Trying to find out if it's not region free but they only have details up for the trilogy.
