I stated AMD specifically because the issue I brought up was specifically for an AMD product. Our PC Team is working on our own performance and optimization tweaks on our end as well, and we're talking with Nvidia, too. Our small PC patch released before Thanksgiving was based on the outcome from these daily talks with AMD and working towards finding more proper fixes for everyone. We knew that patch wouldn't help everyone, but there have been cases (mostly those with crossfire) where the game has improved. It wasn't meant to be a miracle cure, and we never claimed it would be. The information in this thread has been helpful in finding more proper solutions.

While I can understand where you're coming from this, this is not the case for SR3. SR2 was created by an outside company and was a fairly poor PC port. SR3 was created in-house here at Volition, so we have full control over the code and can make changes as needed, but finding these fixes isn't an overnight process. We have to be able to properly reproduce any issues being seen in order to fix them, otherwise you're just blinding looking for answers. This is one of the reasons we've been in talks with Nvidia and AMD since they have many more systems at their disposal than we do to test on, and they are providing us with guidance on what can be done on their end, and what can be done on our end to improve the overall game.

We've already released a new CAP file from AMD and a small PC Patch which has helped some users that were having problems, and we're continuing to make progress with those still having problems in this thread. Our PC team will continue to work on this to ensure all of you can run the game properly.</div>

I am guessing that your computer, Shadow of Death, is a desktop? Or if it's a laptop, it's bigger than 18.4"? Both laptops are 18.4" here.

My computer's resolution. I play the game full screen.

I play all games full screen if they let me.

The new fix that's coming out BTW, is for ATI cards only, so far as I know.

I don't know what the latest (2012.02.21) forth patch was suppose to fix, but it seems to prevent a lot of peoples games from working.
