At start i hire teleporter and a healer and later on in the game i always have 2 master healers with me:)

There are certain hirelings in MM6 that ostensibly do nothing, and will join your adventure free of charge. I haven't gotten anything out of them in my playthroughs, but have heard they eventually take up arms and fight as a fifth character.

Any truth to that? Do they have some other function?
