For any of you guys who don't know, if you have any of the above about the management of the forum then feel free to post them here. I understand you guys will be getting a Mod soon, so things will be getting more organised, in the meantime your section mods are here to help with anything that you believe needs attention. Some of you gifted people might want to start thinking of banner ideas to make the place better looking for a start!

Just wanted to let you all know, that I'm going to be pretty busy today and tomorrow, so I may not be around as much as I'd like to be. Letting you know now in case anyone wonders where I am.

Aura I think it's a great idea to be honest, Looks better and a lot tidier, for the colour i like how it is at the moment. Goes with the game really well.

As most of you will have noticed by now, I finally got around to adding thread filter tags, which can be seen in the forum header. If you haven't experimented with using these just yet, I'll give you a summary of what they do, and why they are there:

The tags are intended to categorise threads, making it easier to identify what the thread topic is, as well as being able to filter the threads that fall under a particular category. So, if I were to click on the "Video" tag at the top of the forum, all threads that have been created with the "Video" tag selected from the drop down list (which is found above the thread title when creating a new thread), or written in manually as a tag, will be the results shown.

It isn't mandatory to select one of these tags when creating a thread, and part of the reason for that, is if anyone should have trouble deciding which tag their thread topic would fall under. In which case, I can go in and edit the tag into the thread myself, which isn't a big job by any means.

Anyway, just wanted to mention this, and also to ask; are there any colour suggestions anyone has for the thread filter labels? I went with a fairly standard colour setup with the dark blue, and considering the nature of the game, wanted to use something that reflected that. I'm not opposed to opinions on what colours go up, but I'd prefer darker colours if possible.

Edit: Fixed typo.

Awesome, thanks for the update on that. Lucky I hadn't posted a thread with a compiled list of information before seeing your post there.

Just a heads up, the Dark Souls II forum is already up. Compiled the info in my wall-o-text post in the petition thread as a starter for the info thread and will start deleting stuff as actual facts are confirmed by the devs/pub.

Thanks for the input Raijin1999, I'll start with getting the thread index taken down, and I'll start throwing up some links into the header and get to removing a few more stickied threads.

Good idea on the Dark Souls II info thread, I'll go through and find already created threads to merge into something of a more official information thread, that way I can go through and add anchors in the first post to relevant topics and information.

There are too many stickifications. The thread index is very lightweight, and with Neoseeker's 'now functional' search bar, indexes are not really needed (unless they be real nice, yo, with lots o' bling and razzle dazzle).

The PSN/XBL and windows live threads could probably roll into one, though that may require a bit of copy pastin'. Not really sure how many of those players are still open to request/active, so it might be best to roll 'em out of sticky mode but link them in the forum sub-header and such.

Not sure if we have a Dark Souls 2 forum yet, but if not then a DS2 info thread would be nice, which can be moved to the forum if and when it's created.

Does anyone else think that there are a few too many stickied threads in this forum? I only just noticed how cluttered it actually looks, but I'd like to see what others have to say before looking at taking a couple of them down.

Perhaps by placing a few links in the forum header for the co-op request, item trading, and online ID threads would be more suitable than leaving them as stickied threads? Thoughts?

Updated the online ID thread so it's easier to navigate, now all that's left is to go through and check for ID's that haven't been added and add those in.

Updates and upcoming changes over the next several days:

    • Slight revision of the "duplicate threads" section of the forum rules.
    • PvP tournament to have rules / guidelines updated.
    • Update to duplicate thread announcement - thread merges will be put into effect where necessary.
    • Edited forum header to display a message regarding the thread merges announcement.
