At the San Diego Comic Con panel, it was announced that Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 characters will have six color choices. That's two more than MvC3's four. Plus, a set of DLC costumes for everyone is planned.

As you may recall, they try to work in some kind of significance or reference into each palette swap. (just check out the MvC3 Alternate Costumes thread)

We're nearing the end. 44 characters done, six to go. Who's left? Chun-Li, Ryu, Sentinel, MODOK, and the newbies: Frank West and Rocket Raccoon.

This Tuesday on Gamespot there will be a Street Fighter and Sentinel and then the rest of the MvC3 cast on Friday for the Marvel Blog and Capcom-Unity. This means the following week is reveal time for Frank West and Rocket Raccoon. I guarantee they'll be on Gamespot for 8 Nov.

This week's haul is really nice. I think Captain America has the most new alternates and tweaks of the whole cast. Shuma-Gorath is a little disappointing, but I understand they don't have much to work with. They could of faked allusions like for his last three alts: Anti-Venom white, Carnage red, and Venom black? Eh, maybe not...

As for Chris, we have a leopard print Haggar and Spencer, so why not get those zebra stripes for his Safari costume?

I like that fantastic four spiderman color a lot.

Nova looks beast, especially in his white blue and red costume.

I love all the Phoenix Wright costumes and I love the fact that they used okami references.

I'm very meh about x 23's costume colors. They don't look intriguing at all.

I like the new green color for hsien ko. Wish their 6th was just as different though.

I dunno, the Darkstalkers seem like missed opportunities. They could of at least pretended that Felicia's #4 was an Elektra tribute. Maybe Capcom thinks fan expect favored, familiar alternate colors, but I would of likes something more creative and meaningful (like the Lilith Morrigan). Just look at the spectacular detail that went into Phoenix Wright alternates!

Plus, Spider-man's stealth suit needs to glow. Thor got glowy discs, so why can't Spidey?
