Would you like to see it? I don't think it's something that has ever really been thought of or considered for the Halo series, but I think it could be cool.
Thoughts?

I would be very surprised if prone was added to Halo, it just isn't....Halo-ish. At all. There's no real better way of describing it that I can think of, I just don't think it would be a particularly useful addition.
I wouldn't have thought it would ruin the pace of gameplay either because, as we all know, CoD has prone and that's one helluva fast-paced game.
I don't like people who just jump around like that. That being said, I got a double headshot on someone who jumped right in front of a guy on a hill. One of the funniest things I've ever killed.
I'll raise you a triple.
My favorite snipe kills however are the ones where you miss and hit someone really far away in the head totally by accident.
And I'll raise you a betrayal headshot with one on the enemy, along with a Be The Bullet. I've never had kills like that. Of course, I also tend not to miss when I'm really trying. Either that, or fire off at such a strange angle that even I wonder where the hell I was aiming.

Eh, I make do. I don't really much jump, either. Unless it's AWAY from a grenade. Always seems to save me a small little extra bit of my shields.
Naturally as it takes you further away from the blasts centre. Jumping is very useful in halo, obviously you need it to move around the map, but it makes you harder to headshot too - in fact in halo 3 particularly people would move around jumping almost constantly. I don't know how you can play without jumping! haha

Well, the good thing about Halo is that if you get shot in the head, you're no longer crouching. You're either standing up, or dead.
I'm pretty sure you stay crouched when you get shot while crouching in halo.
Even though drop-shotting would be quite cool, I still wouldn't like to see prone in Halo, it just doesn't seem right. Crouching is enough for me. Plus I don't know how it'd affect the controls, no more holding crouch for sure.
I have my crouch on toggle. Makes it easier for sniping. And as for the getting shot part, if it's on toggle, you stand back up. If you're holding it, not so much. You stay crouched.
Oh I guess that's a good reason not to put it on toggle then. Surely that affects crouch jumping also?
I don't think I've tried that in Reach, but it worked pretty well for me in 3, so I don't think that it does.
