Does anyone know why the shard of agony goes off in Zora's Domain on the little island to the right of the waterfall? I've been looking around and can't find anything, do I need an eye of truth?

Inside Zora's Domain facing the waterfall, on the platform where a Zora is standing, to the right hand side is a fairy fountain. Play the song of storms here also to open up the hole to access it. Fill your empty bottles with the pink fairies also. When you die, a Fairy will escape and save you, refilling your life 100 percent! No matter how many or how few hearts you have! (3-20)

On the N64 "normal edition" of Ocarina of Time, this particular ring of rocks where the chicken likes to hang around, and the Stone of Agony goes off, I definitely recommend playing the Song of Storms. It opened up a hole for me with two business scrubs in it. They both tried selling me a red potion for 40 rupees. There was nothing else of interest in this area.

Hrm, I would insist using a megaton hammer, or simply playing the song of storms, revealing a hole or such. You could also use a bomb, but I insist using the other two instead, to save ammo. Pika? ChuChu, shush please
