This board sounds so awesome I'd be tempted to buy it.

Except.

It should have been released a year ago, for 500$, I could opt to buy a 2600k and z68 board for roughly the same price.

I like the Green and my next PC will have a green theme, so Gigabyte, lul me with a z68 socket 1155 version.

We go back now to the Intel X58 platform with a look at Gigabyte's $500 whopper of a motherboard, G1.Assassin. It's a killer all right, both in terms of features and price! The board even includes a drive bay expansion with an overclocking button on it. Check our review of G1.Assassin to see if it can deliver the killer performance it promises as well.
