no point starting a new thread so im just going to ask here would someone be able to tell me if there is a website or something that tells you your computer can run games and if so a link please
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/intro.aspx
However, this isn't 100% accurate. I don't meet the requirements for a few games, but yet I can play them at good settings without issue.
ok thanks

The only difference between the 2 is the cpu. The first rig has a Phenom x4 965 overclocked to 3.6ghz. However, the second rig has a 955 Black Edition, which has an unlocked cpu multiplier, making it much easier to overclock. The second rig also includes an aftermarket cpu cooler. Not sure of its quality, though, since a specific model isn't listed. I would assume that the first rig isn't a black edition cpu, since it isn't listed in the specs. The second one would definitely be easier to overclock, but the first one is already overclocked a little. These are prebuilt, right? Perhaps you could try finding a cheaper configuration and put it together yourself. I know you can only order from a select few sites, but it's worth looking for ways to save money.

Maybe validate can Opteron use non registered unbuffered ram?

I don't think you really stand to gain anything from using an opteron.

Isn't AMD opteron the cpu type for servers? Any reason you chose the Opteron?
It's more expensive...

Yep, just learn't now that it's not as powerful... Lol.
