Oh yeah, I'll mention that the 3D effect, for anyone interested, is fairly alright.

Wish game articles got a little more attention than they do *sighs*

Yeah, I thought it looked dated, though I did like the sky and the lighting effects, for the most part (though the lighting effects could produce a long transparent line down the screen, which is just blah). I don't like how the game just ends after a semi-big battle...They are clearly intending to make a series out of this.
