Why did the Shadow Trio give them to me on the Miraculous Bridge? D: I don't (think) it's possible to get Dialga, Palkia or Giratina in this game, so what's the point?

    And? I'm a Pokemon lover, not an AR lover. I prefer not to suck the fun out of my games and would rather not even waste my time thinking about the schematics. I admit I am not knowledgable about AR but I didn't realise it was a requirement.

That was my point. You don't know about hacking items into the game and I'm surprised you didn't think about how items are hacked for even a moment. I'm not even the owner of an AR and it wasn't rocket science to deduce that if the item isn't in the code, it can't be hacked into the game.

Same reason that they didn't use this, and still left the item.

They probably just take a previous gen and use it as a base, but don't remove anything from the scripts.

How would you hack in an item that doesn't exist in the code?

Oak had a team way back in Blue/Red that was left in the code, it was just scrapped. They probably didn't want Soul Dew to be out yet so that they would get more people looking for the event when it is released.
