C-Gear was on all day

In Math, I found a signal and we swapped friend codes, but I kinda knew the guy already. A friend said "oh, you got white" and I asked if he got his, he said no, Since he needed the money for White. He said a friend got Black though.

Science I picked up a signal from somewhere but it wasn't someone in the class (LUNA, White Version, Female, if you're there, Hi!)

Lunch I went to Burgerville across the street, talked with a friend who bought the game but left it at home. I picked up a signal from somehwere when talking with him (Tyrant, Black Version, Male, if you're there, Hi!). Then I walked all around the school, and picked up a signal at the stairwell and I talked with someone I had a off-hand conversation with back last September when I got my imported Black. The other kids she was with got the games as well, but left them at home. We traded friend codes as well.

Social Studies I talked with someone I remember talking with last October when on a field trip when she asked what I was playing on my GBC (Dragon Warrior Monsters 2) and I said it was like a Pokemon clone. We talked about pokemon on the way back. Present time, I asked her about the game. She said she got it, but hasn't started it yet.

On the way to gym I talked with a friend who I see occasionally, who showed me his cart for White. Which shocked me, as he said he didn't like Pokemon much before (but was apparently enjoying White). During gym, one friend said how he was gonna get both (using Black as his main) but the store he went to was out of stock and was gonna go to another today. Another friend I talked into getting Black soon.

On top of all of that, one friend skipped school today to play the game. Don't know his version.

Out of all these people, only three HAD black and the rest had White, had not gotten it, or had not told me.

Post any social endeavors thanks to the game.

Hey so I left my C-Gear on all day and low and behold I came across someone! I have some questions though.. this guy had a detailed profile, like what his job was and hobby. How do I put that stuff in my profile? Also.. how do I talk to him? As far as I can tell I can only look at his profile and where he is on his map..

I wouldn't think I would get any signals from anyone so I leave it off, but after reading this, I think I might keep mine on from now on!

So do you have the C-Gear. Do you turn off the DS or do you have to keep it on?

It only notices strangers over local wireless, not wifi.
Over wifi, you need their friend code
How do I connect over local wireless then? I know how to do that for mystery gifts, but that's it.
The C-Gear just needs to be on, then it'll find people on its own. It's up to you as for what to do with them.

That's stupid. I will never notice any strangers at my country.

Hearing how you made friends using the C-Gear makes me want to use it too. But do you know if it only works when you are on the same wireless network as other people? So far when I have tried it, it says no one else is using C-Gear. Is this because I am just using my private home network? Or does it mean that no one else in my apartment complex has the game at all or C-Link turned on?
