Personally, I think the old one is cooler. I'm not really feeling the glove-on-one-hand thing he has going on in his new outfit. There probably will be DLC for his old clothes like Iza suggested.

I think that they both are really good. If I had to choose it would be the old one though, this is only due to the gloves!! lol

Well since Square Enix are doing DLC these days I don't see why they couldn't just add the old outfit later as a download.

His old outfit made him look like a leather queen.
The glowing eye thing - In Type-0, one of your eyes or both eyes, depending on the person, glowed the same colour as your Brand (eg - Byakko L'Cie had glowing yellow eyes when the Brand was displayed). It probably has to do with that.

Both costumes look cool. The new one with the open jacket is slightly better imo.

Yeah but he probably gets that effect after becoming a l'cie. Remember we were pretty sure Lightning had Gravira abilities but it turned out she was using a little device all the time. She didn't get real powers untill she became a l'cie. Also in the latest Versus trailer the cast talks about Noctis not being used to his new powers so my guess is that he becomes a l'cie and gets that eye thingy as a side effect or something.
There's probably a reason for the glove. Maybe he wants to hide his l'cie brand.
It's possible that it's something to do uniquely with that particular hand, although I kind of doubt it. He's already got something "special" about his body with his eye(s) that change color.
