I can give you alittle of my DxDiag but ill put the rest in a megaupload file.(its not a virus but I am not responsible for anything that happens to your computer) thats just a disclaimer for any con artist.

It's a list of all the CPUs that work in your motherboard

Couldn't find a comparison including the 9550, but here's one for the 9650 ss 955 vs 1090T. Expect around +50% performance on your current system, whether you feel that's worth it or not is up to you.

As for 9800GT vs GTX 460, it comes out about double the FPS.

First let me apologize for double posting I was being impatient I thought that if I got it in 2 forums by the time I woke up at least one would have a reply cause I wasn't sure if I was placing it in the right section.

Well Ren I don't know what to do with that list is it a sort of drivers?Which one do I click im sorry for being so noobish I am really trying to learn.

Also do you guys thing these products will be a upgrade? To my current CPU and my current Geforce 9800GT 500MB?

The CPU Support List for your board is here, and it does have AM3 (Phenom II) listed

I would go for something that has Board Revision "ALL" to be safe, as I'm not sure if you have v1.01G or not. The two best CPUs on the list guaranteed to work would be the Phenom II X4 955 (3.2GHz) or the Phenom II X6 1090T (3.2Ghz).

The GTX460 would be fine in your board.

crysis is not processor intensive. it would only have a problem running if you had a slow single core. your processor is neither slow, nor single core. as for global agenda, it seems that it, too is more dependent on the video card.

my opinion on this is that upgrading your processor would seem like a waste of money. my recommendation would be to squeeze as much performance out of your computer without buying anything, and then getting a new computer once it cannot handle any newer games. this will save you money, which can go to a much better computer later on.

Well I need a better processor to run proc straining games like Crysis and Global Agenda. I am also looking into the GTX460 1GB but I don't know if my computer is compatible and please tell me more about this AM3 sir I would love to go about this without having to replace my motherboard also im pretty sure its ASUS

why are you upgrading in the first place? are you doing it to get more performance in games? do you run digital media applications such as photoshop or some video editing software? this is important to know because it affects what you should upgrade.

ren, im assuming by 'power', he means a faster CPU.

also, OP, you can overclock a little as a free alternative, provided you have cool enough temperatures to begin with. if you want to know more, you can check out the software overclocking section in my speed up computer guide (link in sig). if you do want to overclock, avoid BIOS overclocking, as you may not be experienced enough with it (software overclocking is easy).

also, a little advice for you - you made your first thread in the other forum about three minutes before making this thread - while you will get pretty fast replies here, you need to be a little more patient. most regulars here frequent the other forums as well. dont take it the wrong way - i just like to see clean forums. makes browsing it a lot easier for myself and others, and anyone else who wishes to have their questions answered will have their threads seen a little easier as well.

By more power, do you mean CPU, graphics, or something else?

Could you run CPU-Z and post the make & model from the mainboard tab? Dxdiag doesn't identify what motherboard you have.

You have an AM2+ CPU, depending on who your motherboard manufacturer is you may be able to put an AM3 CPU in if you update the BIOS.
