Simple idea I had for a thread which might actually benefit some people who don't want to bother reading long boring reviews and instead just want a place to quickly see what other gamers think of a certain game.
Give a score (out of 10) to the last game you played. Feel free to add a mini review if you want. By "mini review" I really do mean mini. 1 of 2 sentences are enough.
I'll start us off:
The Sims 3 8/10 Much better than I expected and will last longer than most RPGs.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations - 8/10
Fun game, but way too similar to AC: Brotherhood. Mostly just playing it in anticipation for AC3 (for the story), I would never pay a full $60 for this. I really hope that if Ubisoft continues making Assassin's Creed games after AC3, they stop annualizing them. AC2 was a 9, AC:B was a 8.5, and AC:R is only an 8. Adding a few gameplay mechanics does not make the game feel fresh and new.
Also, I didn't like Den Defense. Desmond puzzles weren't very fun, but I appreciate it for the bit of backstory.

Currently playing Borderlands - fun, FPS/RPG stuff with a distinctive look and style but not particularly distinctive combat or gameplay. Well worth a look, and a solid 7.5/10.
Replaying Dead Space 2 (hoping to go for the Hardcore mode once I've gotten the courage up) which would probably be 8/10, and have just finished my third playthrough of Mass Effect 2, which is an obvious 10/10.
Also just finished:
Assassin's Creed: Revelations - different setting and some combat additions, otherwise precisely the same as II/Brotherhood, which is no bad thing for me. 8/10
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine - fun enough while it last, some decent carnage but very lightweight and no variety at all. 5.5/10
inFamous - OK, but pretty repetitive and not much variety in missions. 6/10
Mass Effect 3 - I thought it lacked the depth of ME2, but was otherwise epic, and looking foward to a second playthrough using my new ME2 save file and seeing the Extended Cut. 9/10
Still playing:
Skyrim, of course. 10/10

Darksiders 2: 9/10
Awesome awesome game so far. I'm about 10 hours in and it is so much better than it's predecessor. The RPG additions rule but I find that the skills can become unnecessary because I have to switch from targeting to use them and most if the time I can kill the enemy just fine without them. But the weapons and armor changes with random loot drop just rules. Like a hack and slack borderlands almost. Story so far is intriguing If not a bit slow to get going.
Am I the only person that thinks HL2 is a boring game? I've tried twice to get into the game but just couldn't.
I wouldn't say boring exactly, but when i played it when i borrowed the Orange Box from my friend i honestly didn't see what the hype about it was. Possibly because it's an old game, but people have said it's dated well so maybe not. I'd give it a 6/10.

Hm, Silent Hill 2?
I give it a 9. I love how the game is creepy/the atmosphere is creepy, the characters, the *bleep*ed up story, Pyramid Head, the riddles, and etc. The only thing that is eh to me is the combat. God, it's hard to handle two of the nurse enemies at the same time.

I've only played Half-Life 1, we haven't really thought about buying that game.
Game: Resient Evil 5 Score: 4/10 Reason: Well, it's alright, but I only really play it on co-op these days. RE4 beats it by a long shot!
Game: Alice: Madness Returns Score: 7/10 Reason: Very dark game, but that's what makes it awesome. I love to play this, only sometimes I get frustrated. I have also fully downloaded the first one, so that review may come, once I figure out the controls.
Game: Uncharted 3 Score: 9/10 Reason: I only play this on co-op as well. At late, I've found it quite boring, nothing new, but the all only RPG deathmatch is the best.
Next week: Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City God of War 3 and Shadows of the Damned

Darksiders 2 Rating: 9/10 Awesome: The tight as jailbait combat mixed with some neat platforming and good (if a bit basic) puzzles. The story's fairly interesting so far.
Alright: So far, I'd probably say that there's a bit of an overreliance on "putting the ball in the slot" puzzles, and while some are creative, some just felt lazy. I'm about 5/6 hours in though.
Awful: wut
Half Life 2 Rating: 9.5/10 Awesome: The grand scale of it all, the pacing, the gun fights - just a very immersing game, and since it's also fun to play, I'd say it did a damn good job of what it had set out to do. Gravity Gun is fun as shit to play around with too. But as everyone knows, the crowbar is the best weapon ever.
Alright: *bleep*ING ANTLIONS! STOP EXPLODING YOU COWARDS!
Awful: nop

Deus Ex: Human Revolution: 9/10: Brilliant game. Reminds me of MGS mixed with Heavy Rain. Loved the story and the stealthy stuff was awesome. liked it so much I bought the DLC, which is also great.
Retro/Grade: 0/10: What the *bleep* was that? Terrible.
Just Cause 2: 7.5/10: Pretty good game, Huge scale sandbox with lots to do. Quite hard though (although I am on Hardcore mode) but also quite addictive.
