The World Ends With You was an unexpected breakout hit for Square Enix. It was an entirely new franchise and it was certainly not the kind of game Kingdom Hearts creator, Tetsuya Nomura, is known for designing. Since its release, Square fans have been asking for a follow-up game.
It would appear Nomura is keen on developing a follow-up as well.
“I’m really happy that the game was so well received in North America,” Nomura told Nintendo Power in a recent interview with the magazine. “I definitely want to make a sequel. I’m very busy working on other titles right now, but when the time is right, I would love to make another installment of The World Ends with You.”
A World Ends With You sequel on the 3DS might be interesting. What ideas can you think of that would benefit from the new system?
So what do you think about this? I'd personally love a sequel for the 3DS.

It gets better. If you spent money on it, finish it.
But yeah, I can see Days, but I don't really like CT that much. It's not bad, it's just... Average.

Ground - That was quite obviously trying to offend me. <.<
Yes, a remake of a great game with added material and a game that went above and beyond what the normal DS game looks like impressed me. I didn't finish TWEWY, because I played for a couple hours and got really bored.

So a port and filler impressed you the most? No offense.
Did you even finish TWEWY? It's barely a twelve hour game, damnnit.
I stand in the same boat as Dragoon, but I really don't want to play it. I never understood what the whole hype was about it. I watched some gameplay videos, and was bored pretty easily. .-.
Feel pretty much the same, except I played it. Coming from Square Enix, I immediately thought it would be a blockbuster, but it fell greatly below the line to me. Soundtrack is groovy, and the idea is good, but I thought it was boring and I found Neku's whiny attitude unbearable the moment I saw him. I know his attitude changes over time, but I don't want to wait that long.
Personally, I'll stick with Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Star Ocean, and some of Square's more centralized RPGs.
Not saying I won't try out a sequel if it's made, but in the end, meh.
TBH, now that I think about it, Square Enix on the DS kind of let me down in general...Chrono Trigger and Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days were the only ones to wow me.
