From images I've seen in Official Nintendo Magazine Issue 67, the whole game looks crisp.
Keeping with ONM67, freeflight mode [section of review]:
It's not all mssions and score-chasing, however, as Free-Flight mode offers a much more open-ended way to explore Wuhu Island. To start with, it gives you two minutes to fly around the island in a vehicle of your choice, with the freedom to do whatever you like. Should you wnat to extend that time limit, however, you'll have to grab the collectible white balloons you'll find dotted around the landscape. And if you want to unlock access to Wuhu Island at sunset, or the starlit nighttime Wuhu, you need to fly through enough of the 'i' rings dotted over the island. Each of these dispenses a small nugget of Wuhu-related trivia or history (again, just like in Wii Sports Resort.) Each vehicle also has its own special trinket to collect, or special ring to fly through, which once collected will unlock a small collection of dioramas viewable from the menu screen.
There's a satisfying sense of progress to this mode. The early flights you make around Wuhu will earn you the time extensions you need to explore the island even more thoroughly on your next visits, but we can't help thinking it would be nice to be able to fully explore Wuhu from the start, completely free from time limits or challenges. In a game about the simple joy of flying, this is a strange omission.
The challenge mode however, [section of review]:
Fortunately, Pilotwings Resort's Mission Mode not only teaches you the tricks for every vehicle, but gives you a chance to put them through their paces, too. Divided into five difficulties, starting from Novice and working all the way up toPlatinum, Mission Mode's challenges start by introducing you to the basics of flight, but soon move onto much more interesting trials.
Plane challenges require you to be bullseying targets or popping balloons. Even pulling off stunts shown to you by Miguel.
Rocket belt challenges require you to land on floating platforms and maintain fuel supplies. All the while trying accurately trying to follow guiding rings for the best points possible.
Glider missions require a more excessive usage of the vehicle, by pulling nosedives at breakneck speeds or catching thermals to the highest extent.
Occasionally, the game throws up something a little more unexpected - putting campfires out with a water gun mounted on your plane for instance, or guiding a small squadron of UFOs back to their mothership. The tasks in mission mode are an interested and varied batch, but unfortunately it all feels a bit short. Getting a one-star passing grade on every challenge is a goal that can be achieved in around two hours, for instance, and the fact that there isn't more to do with the alternate vehicle types (including a pedal-powered glider and a turbo jet) that you unlock in the process is a huge disappointment.
It thens says that getting a three-star passing grade is more of a challenge. Also a glider only feature is the ability to take in-game photos where you see fit. This could lead to an interesting thread here on 'Who can take the weirdest photos with the glider'.
The Verdict is that 'While this looks and feels amazing, there just isn't quite enough of it.' and lands with 81 percent.
So what do you think?

After going to the Nintendo 3DS preview event, I'd say that this game is currently the best looking 3D game. When you fly the plane straight up in the sky and see the white condensation trails from the wingtips...a great looking game!
Obviously flying round in routes through the hoops or balloons or whatever would be good. Stunts? A few choices of planes like Bi-planes?! Helicopters? Sea planes?

I enjoyed Pilotwings 64 a lot. I look forward to Pilotwings Resort!

I like games like this. Although I never played the original, this one looks promising.
Especially as it's set on WuHu Island from Wii Sports Resorts.

I think it is interesting and i hope this game has jetpacks and a mode where you just fly around and do nothing else.

Anyone else thinks this looks interesting?
