I used an action replay and it took me a lot of time going back to the Elite Four and beating them so I could fight Red so I could catch his pokemon (once you catch one of his pokemon you've beaten him). I won't include their levels as you probably already know them but I've caught all of Red's pokemon so I know their move sets and they are:
Pikachu @ Light Ball Volt Tackle Iron Tail Quick Attack (why hasn't he deleted this?) Thunderbolt
Charizard @ No item Flare Blitz Air Slash Blast Burn Dragon Pulse
Blastoise @ No item Focus Blast Hydro Cannon Blizzard Flash Cannon (weird choice for a move)
Lapras @ No item (why do hardly any of his pokemon hold items?) Blizzard Brine (should have a stronger water attack) Psychic Body Slam
Snorlax @ No item (I thought it would have been holding Leftovers) Shadow Ball Crunch Blizzard (Red likes the move Blizzard lol) Giga Impact
I don't know if anyone else knows their move sets so I thought I would tell you all them. You can write your opinions about his move sets if you like and how you think they could be improved.

Although I think that red could use a bit of advice in the move choosing field his Pikachu did a good job of whooping my Lv.100 Ground plate Arceus. I got pretty mad so I used my friends cheated to high heaven diamond game and captured red's team(no I didn't fight him) and plan to beat him with the same pokemon,same move sets but all Lv.100. So thanks for the moves~

Ash is the counter part of Red see Red is in the games and manga and Ash is in the Anime
Quick Attack is a good move to have... Don't hate on it.

Haha. I think one was based off the other. Red ad Ash are not the same, but I think they are so similar is far from a coincidence. I'm guessing the amine was based off the game and consequently, the moves are so similar
Keep in mind, this is a remake game, so it has been around for quite some time

blizzard has 100% chance of hitting in a hailstorm, probably the reason why he has so many blizzards. Also, even with the same moveset, red's pikachu pwns ash's with it's eyes closed:P

Game Freak was completely horrible with this set... Ash has the same exact moveset for his Pikachu. I understand how most people that play HeartGold and SoulSilver know more about Ash than Red, but seriously, keep Red Red and Ash Ash.
I agree, if they want them to be the same, name him Ash instead of Red.
