I want a 3 Pokemon team because having 6 pokemon means I'm soooo underleveled ughh I preferably want something like: Ghost water
or Psychic Water
So? Pokemon like that that I can find by the time I get to Ecruteak early on please?

Ive noticed that heracross is awesome to have in your team. I taught him swords dance from the game corner on top of take down, aerial ace, and close combat (which he learns around lvl 35ish) he makes for a powerhouse! I also use togetic until I can evolve him to togekiss who has incredible speed and spc atk... Hope this helps anyone wanna talk Pokemon e-mail me @ caseyaden22@Yahoo.com

I actually stuck with the coin game and bought myself a dratini, useful because he has the shed skin ability. It's not so bad once you learn the tricks of the game, but luck does play a factor (esp in the later levels).
Staryu or Chinchou for Water. You'll need the Good Rod and some patience to catch them, though. Staryu can be caught fishing at Olivine, which is open as soon as you unlock Ecruteak. Chinchou is found at New Bark.
How am I supposed to beat the 8th gym without some kind of ice type thingy?

I got all 8 badges without a single potion,revive or ice pokemon. And I suggest you level the other 3 pokemon aswell. You say underleveled but thats you, not the pokemons fault. Pokemon has one of the fastest exp/perlevel Ive seen in a game. leveling pokemon is a breeze.

If Lapras is avalable at this point, get one. You can find it at Union Cave on Fridays only(but you can always change your clock )

If you're looking for a good Fire-Type, you can find Vulpix to the route directly south of Ecruteak, and Magmar in the Burned Tower depending on the time of day.
As far as Water and Psychics, you can get a Wooper or Abra.

You can get a Vulpix on a route somewhere around there. Poliwrath is good. Kingdra is great if you can evolve it.
