These blinkies are getting really annoying now. No offense to Kitta, but this is like when Men in Black came out. I kept hearing Will Smith everywhere. >_< Argh! Um, anyway... It's really getting out of hand now. Rant end.

Ah yeah, couldn't think of the right word.
I also tend to get annoyed by people basically forcing others to make big(ger) pieces. A lot of time goes into making such a piece, and you also need a source of inspiration. If you don't have either, or if you simply do not want to make LP's for some other reason, why can't you just make sigs? In the end it's all about whether you enjoy making digital pieces, may it be actual art or just a fancy image, or not.

    I hate Userbars but that's about it. I dislike a whole lot of stuff but it'd take all day to list them down without singling out anyone in this forum

    • the propagation of misinformed terminology (render as a noun is for 3D final steps folks, crop should only be a verb unless you are talking about the fields of produce, stock or source image is fine for the stuff arbitrarily dropped on top of abstract backgrounds, etc.)

    • bad font choices (sorry to single you out, Circut GX, but your Ghost in the Shell banner looks like it says "stand done complex")

    • meaningless background choices

    • normal (horizontal) scanlines (diagonal can be fun)

    • people returning to critique threads stubbornly doing what they always have been doing

    But I really hate it when I come upon a request thread in which some poor sap is asking for a simple avatar and the maker gives them utter crap. I feel bad for them because the requestee doesn't want to be ungracious and they don't have a choice anyway (the piece or nothing) so they have to take the crap avatar.

    Oh yeah, and userbars are bad because they are so ubiquitous. There is no individuality in turning your interests into a thin banner that others "wear". I say if you are going to make a banner-- make a banner, not some shiny sliver.
