Just as the title says, this is a thread to post what would you like in a sequel for Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor; basically, you can post anything you want here: what ensing would you consider canon, what characters should come back, what new characters should appear and of course, how would the new plot be
In my opininon, Amane's ending should be canon, and the series should be unlike other MegaTen series; instead of a completely new plot with completely new main characters, it should be a completely new plot with the same main characters, Hiro (that's how I called the MC, I'm using the name for dramatic tension), Yuzu and Atsuro in a new adventure as the new king of demons and his "counselors", but still in the same everyday Japan; and the only returning characters in my opinion should be Amane, Midori, Haru, Gin, Kaido and Black Frost . The game should take place a few months after the first, probably 3 and... That's it for now; so post your ideas, but there are a few rules:
-If you make a new character, make sure he/she has a Japanese name, to keep with the game's style, and don't make them look TOO weird, we had enough with Midori -When posting something say that's what you think should happen, everyone here will discuss it and we will reach an idea that pleases everybody
Well, I guess that's it for now, but some more rules may come later, but for now just have fun "surviving"

Well it's official the sequel is out, in japan, for what i've gathered is a sequel in name only.

It already has a sequel!! Disgaea: afternoon of darkness, the MC dies of choking on a pretzel and his son ( know inherited his hairstyle ) must become the New demon king. Oh, yeah....the others...well....they all turned into prinnies:P LOL just kidding...though it does kinda fit.

It's good to see that they plan to expand the DeSu franchise with the 3DS as well.
I want a Devil Survivor sequel with Naoya's ending because I think it would provide the most action. I really wanted to fight God in it, an they just left the game off with the little email from God. Plus, I like the evil looking main character. I hate the ghey little smile they gave him at the Amane ending.
the emails was not from god i belive it was from either metraton of michael since its ends as M
I'm pretty sure it was Metatron that sent the message, IIRC his shadow appears at the end.
I completely agree with Seed though as IMO it would be more interesting to see a story against God and the war between demons and angels. Other than that I couldn't really care less about Amane's ending and to me it seems to cliche to just side with what seems to be good (i.e. angels, god). It'd be a different turn to see a MC fighting with what people consider as the epitome of evil.

Tbh I'd thought along the same lines as Rabla about using Yuzu's ending. But I think it's way too straightforward and probably Amane's ending would be the most interesting as lightmanny illustrated.
Yuzu's ending wasn't 'World is destroyed' it was 'World was overrun by demons'
Same difference really. The humans lost, the demons are spreading faster than can be contained and humanity is as good as dead. World destroyed, everyone dies the end.
Plus wasn't that crazy dumbass Honda or whatever his name is going to kill them right off at the end? I thought that was heavily implied.
