Thread I

Introduction

Hello all, and welcome to Pokemon ~ The Continent of Yaska. This game is a Pokemon style game, with battle elements similar to the popular Fire Emblem series. In this new land, you are a young trainer, receiving your first Pokemon in Grey City from the famed Professor Conifer. The path you choose to take is yours and yours alone. Whether you choose to fight for good, evil, or yourself is all up to you and the decisions you make along the way. I'm new with hosting this, and the battle formulas may not be the best, but there will be time to try it out, and figure out what works and what doesn't work. I think this can be a great success & I hope we can have a good time with this.

Thanks go to -

Scarecrow3000, since the concept is similar to his Land of Vivica games.
The Lost Soul, helping me set up & being my co-host.
Molater, co-hosting guy, master of Microsoft Excel.

Tell me about it. Who assigns a 10-15 minute presentation and gives you TWO DAYS to research it?! >___>

Man, I hate that disease. Worst. Year. Ever.

Lost, no worries my man. Do what you got to go, junior year of high school is not a great deal of fun, it's a lot of pressure. Applying to college is definitely worse than college itself, so no worries, it will only get better. Glad to have you aboard, if only partially.

Haha, Deathwind. You're probably going to be taking on the Elite Four before anyone else passes the first Gym

But I love the enthusiasm. Enthusiasm for these sorts of things is what keeps them going

don't get too excited
Too late.

Also +1 to headcount. >_>

I'm highly stressed due to what I am calling junioryearitis, which involves copious amounts of unwarranted stress coupled with realizing how nice it is to live with your parents as opposed to close relatives. So, uh, I'll play, but I don't think I could host. I'd be even less frequent than I was when I had no stress earlier. >.>

Definitely interested, though.

So the wheels are kind of in motion, I'm reworking some parts of the first post, pretty much going to keep everything as is, changed around a few quests, I'm hoping that this second installment does not get as big as the last one, in terms of size. I'd say 4-6 active players would be ideal. Other than myself, perhaps one or two co-hosts to help me do the battles would be ideal, molater & Lost were a great help last go around.

So other than a few minor changes, the game itself will essentially be the same as it was a couple of months ago, which I doubt is a problem for any of you (or at least I hope not). But yeah, I'm just doing some preparatory work, and based on how much time I can find for that will determine whether I'll have time to conduct battles and write out full stories and whatnot. I'm thinking I can squeeze the time to do that. Possibly.

So no guarantees yet, don't get too excited. But, just so I can get a head count, who would be interested? Just in playing that is.

In two weeks I will be done with this semester, and I could do this again for a few weeks.

I still have all the updated Excel files in case we did decide to continue. Actually, now would be a great time to start again since my schedule is much more open compared to a few months ago.

I'll have to see, I have an inkling over two weeks left of school for the semester, so I know I'm going to be busy studying for finals and finishing up final papers and whatnot, and then over the break... I don't know yet. I'm very tempted to bring it back though. I'll have to make it simpler and familiarize myself very well with the formulas, but even before it was fairly simple to calculate everything.

So perhaps this makes a return? I'll send you guys all PMs if I do end up bringing it back.
