I'm sorry, should been more clear in the review. The only difference between the Eyefinity 6 and a regular HD 5870 is a) has double the memory b) is capable of handling an additional 3 displays. (This might even be just a matter of this ability being locked in the non-Eyefinity 6 models.)

hiigaran -=> First question: the HD 5870 Eyefinity 6 has the same gpu as the any other HD 5870, it just has an extra control chip which allows for handling more displays. The HD 5870 and Eyefinity 6 in my testing are doing the same work pretty much, just the Eyefinity 6 GPU is outputting to 6 displays opposed to 1 (the same amount of data , just one is split in 6 ways, one is not) . The one degree of temperature difference isn't really anything that's a big deal in my mind; one degree isn't much; the room might have been slightly colder or whatever.

I also didn't overclock it because it would overclock the same as other HD 5870's , so did not thing it was important. Perhaps I should of noted that.

bomber- > Thanks for pointing those out. Generally speaking, the adapters are 20 bucks, it is great to be able to search around and find them cheaper. 5 bucks is a much more reasonable price.

huh...uses more power, and has a lower temperature than the xfx 5870, and the clock speeds are the same...yet its outputting to six displays. how is that possible?

also...no overclocking again?
