Ok so I've gotten the eighth badge and am about to take on the league after some training but I only have 5 Pokemon. I'd like a sixth, and I feel like I'm lacking some key types but I'd like a bit of help.
Soooo that's it. I'm lacking in dark/psychic/ground. Should I swap Arcanine for Houndoom? And then add an Espeon or Donphan? Dragonite? I dunno. And the moves are sorta irrelevant, but I wanted you guys to see my current type coverage. So I'd appreciate any help you'd offer on additions/subtractions from here!

You could always get a Lugia/Ho-oh. You catch whatever ones in your verson at level 45, and get the other one at some point at level 70. They might not really fit into your team, but its better than nothing. Alakhazams are good as well.

Yeah right? haha The eighth leader was a joke for me (mostly due to ice beam)
But she had my lapras down in the red HP and used hydropump and restored my Lapras's health so it was pretty laughable.

Kingdra is very good since it only has one weakness. Which pisses me off when I fought the 8th gym leader, even though it was actually easy to defeat it.

Ohh I do actually love Bannette. I'm looking for something catch-able for me right now though rather than trading.
Also yeah, Kingdra is amazing. Might get one after the league but Lapras is just...my favorite water type ever haha

my banette is really awesome, actually. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a ghost type that ISN'T gengar. XD kingdra is also awesome on my team.

Well I dunno..just never liked any of the pokemon I came across. I have a team planned out but its a post Elite Four team :\ I use the sixth slot for various HM slaves currently.
And I'm keeping Meganium cuz I like it haha. Its not my competitive team. I just want to add one more to help with the Elite Four. Syther is pretty cool though but I have a good bug already. Just need to teach Heracross megahorn.

get rid of wimpy meganium and catch a scyther from the BCC. sceptile > meganium also.

You only have 5 Pokemon?!?! OMG! Just catch a weak Pokemon (Rattata, Sentret, Pidgey, Spearow, etc.), then make it fight other easy Pokemon til it gets to like Lv. 50.
