Feisar's Review Thread:
Enjoy Feisar's compelling world of Classic Gaming, and maybe a little pile of modern games, too.

Please don't forget to read NeoStation to read some great gaming articles, along with my reivews.

Now, I'm going to explain my reviews in a moment, but you need to know some other little bites of info first.
Now, I'm a classic gamer. I love games like The Legend of Zelda (A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time etc.), Super Mario Land, Thunder Force etc. So you'll probably see a lot of retro reviews coming through.
I personally choose gameplay over graphics, and I do explain the graphics of a game, but I generally won't downgrade the score drastically because of a little upset on the graphics. Obviously, if I can't see the enemies or whatever, I'll downgrade it.
And now to my reviews.

My style of review is explain everything, and put in facts, and my opinion. If you have read a review of mine, and don't see an opinion, or an "I think", it's because I want to make it seem like it's from your point of view, and it gives an effect. My opinion is in there, just masked in with the other text

Now, I have a scoring system. No, I'm not copying Vergil Ties, his scoring system is great, mine's a little different.

Scoring:

0.0 - There is no reason you should buy this game at all. It's a load of garbage. The only reason you'd buy it is if you were an ultra-die-hard collector, and you just want it on your shelf.

0.1-0.9 - A big, big disappointment. I don't recommend buying it unless you're prepared to have a boring experience.

1.0-1.9 - It's not the worst game in existence, but if you're prepared to put up with it, it can be okay.

2.0-2.9 - It's about halfway. It's not a bad game, but it's not a good game. I recommend it if you like cheap bargain bin games, which a lot of these could be.

3.0-3.9 - It's a good game, but has some downsides, and probably has a minor amount of replay value.

4.0-4.9 - It's great. Pick it up and play. Has a couple of downsides, but nothing massively major.

5.0 - If you don't get this game, you're insane. It's one of the best in existence. May have one or two little downsides, but it's awesome.

Yeah, I was kind of gambling, and taking risks when I put those in. I'm going to edit them out now, I just wanted to see what it looked like.

Thanks, Kiker.

Think you went overkill with those bars on your iDracula review, and it really seems to break up the flow of the review.

Shame. It looks well written, too.

For your last review, about Link's Awakening DX, I'm just feeling hungry about the graphics and the soundtrack. You didn't mention them and I don't know what to think about them... if I was someone who hadn't played that game. I've played it, so, I know what to expect but it would have been nice to see one or two paragraphs about it.

You're very good for explaining gameplay though.

Also, I'm currently being bothered by your paragraphs. The space between some sentences is just unbearable for my eyes, probably because I'm used to review differently.
Thanks for the advice I'll ammend those now, I'll try differences with paragraphs too.

Hi guys.

Can anyone help me better my reviews?
I really like feedback, good or bad.

I've seen some great reviews of your coming through. You do seem to work your way through many of the key points for each one you review. I feel like I got a good impression of your feelings to each product from what you wrote.
Thanks. I try to express what the game is like, I don't know how I do it, it just springs to mind, I review my review, edit it then submit!
