The pre-order price was a lot lower at the time for each edition but the retail price is pretty far up there.
It's really a shame because I think it would be less if the system had competition, the problem is actually having a company shell out for the auth chips for their products and getting MS to approve them. The stock MS wheel is completely outclassed against the Fanatec but that's all there is for options. :/
Great wheel but its a dose of reality for how no options really exist for the platform.

Something to note is that Fanatec is offering other shipping options, direct to customer or to factory then to customer from the plant producing them. The difference is about a few weeks so it might be worth it to go direct to customer instead.
