As most of you will be well aware, annual Remembrance Sunday parades will be taking place across the country this weekend, and as I'll be selling poppies on behalf of the Royal British Legion as I do every year, I'd just like to remind people how important the charity is, and how important the funds raised can be to injured soldiers and their families. I've wandered around my college this week, and aside from myself I've seen perhaps half a dozen people out of two thousand students wearing a poppy. This, to me, is a disgracefully small percentage of the population, and so on behalf of the charity...
For their sake, wear a poppy.

I have been selling poppies all week in school. Seems that not many pupils care. I even know of someone who was selling stolen poppies on the black market for his own personal gain.

We actually had to pack up our poppy selling early today because we had chavs threatening to knock us out and take our money... Now as there are a few of us who are quite big, we would've happily carried on, but because we had a lot of people at age 13 and 14 with us who are quite little we deemed it unsafe to continue and had to stop an hour before we were due to.

Air Training Corps (AKA Air Cadets), we do it every year along with the other cadet forces in my town.
Also I found a poppy for sale, a nice person was selling them around my college.
I searched my town centre while I was out yesterday and found no poppys on sale in all the shops I checked. :[
Although I am going to be at my local supermarket collecting money for the poppy appeal all day Saturday, and will be participating in the Remembrance Parade on Sunday. Hopefully I can find a poppy for sale before that. >.<
What organisation are you representing on Sunday?

I keep losing my poppies and everytime I get one I always donate £2. So at the moment I've given £10, ha. I'll be getting another later today when I go to school.
