You can get Larvitar at the Safari Zone. To beat Jolteon, just get a Poke that can learn a strong ground move like Earthquake, and maybe keep some Full Restores handy.

It was actually pretty easy for me in SS. Typhlosion just killed everything with Lava Plume until Vaporeon, and Ampharos destroyed it with Discharge after a Blaze boosted Lava Plume from Typhlosion.

I wish they were optional, but your damn friend from Elm's lab she/he will stop you from going over the water to get to Kanto, unless you beat the Kimono Girls.

U dont need to beat the elite 4 for the kimono girls. just get the eight badges, get the ball from elm, then go to the dance place.

i don't live close enough and my brothers jirachi is a emerald legit one and i can always catch ho-oh again it's no problem it gives me an excuse to try out chikorita
