During the great war of the Maple World, the dark evil masterminds took over the world. Swallowing the Maple World in chaos and killing any of those who opposed. There were millions of deaths of civilians and warriors in the great war. There was only one piece of the Maple World untouched which was a golden maple leaf that glowed brightly and had a godly essence near it.
Before the chaotic forms of the monsters and evil masterminds got near it. It exploded, covering everything in a orb of blinding white light. Then suddenly, the Maple World was back to normal. The chaotic armies were gone, everyone came back to life. But they were still confused except for 3 mysterious people that roam in every city and town. Now it is time to prevent the Maple World to be succumbed in chaos again.

Note: You cannot use Chaos for the class until it is released in GlobalMS.
Posts must be at LEAST one paragraph long (5 - 6 sentences).
Don't spam words (ie. "I like like like like like like pie").
Don't be a jackass when you are going to try to give your opinion to someone else part.
Features
Party: You may "party" with others if you so wish to. This means intertwining each others characters into one plot. A max party can only consist of six people max, until the ending where we all fight off the "evil".
Guilds: If many people apply and stay active, someone may form a guild. With this it's like party but you can have side stories such as adventures that are not relating to the main conflict/problem.
Job Rules
Advancement: Each person starts off as 1st job but can progress to the next when ever the writer so chooses but not like right when you start or after a great battle but more so when your character NEEDS the power of the next job level.
Skills: Each character's skills are already maxed, but you can add dramatic sequences such as: "My skills aren't strong enough!".
Equipment: Since there is no leveling system here's the hard part. How do we use equips? You can only use equips between the corresponding job level and characters level(game wise). (ie. A thief that just started may not use a Red Craven only a garner, Meba, Kuma,etc.) Really be realistic don't just start with a Meba but a Garner. You still gotta buy from stores though.
Mesos: Will only be mentioned when buying equips/potions, quests, or monsters.
Potions: Potions can be used, but you have to buy them. The character heals over time as well, but not during a big battle.

Chapter 2: The Battles to Come (Stat Screen: Estimated Level: 14-15, Profeciency in Flame Gear: .5.)
Another man in a black suit walked up to Tobias after the match. "You did good out there, boy. Tell you what, do well the next match and I'll supply you with better equipment for the tournament. Impress me. Impress the audience." The man handed Tobias his card and without letting Tobias get a word in walks away. "Eddie Malone.... I better win the next round. I could use all the support I can get."
-Several Hours Later-
"Welcome to the 2nd Round of the Maple Combat Tourney! You've done well, all of you, to defeat your enemies. However, we're upping the challenge to this now. We're adding additional items to the field, that can tip the angle of the battle in your favor, or ruin your chances of survival." The announcer says, a menacing glint in his eyes. Murmurs go out through the remaining competitors. "Additional Items?" "Aw I barely had a chance as it was..." "Bring it on, I can take it." and so on. "But enough talk. Let Round 2 begin!"
The match ups were shown on a screen. The bracket at the bottom most area of the screen was "Tobias - Alina" "Alina huh? I didn't see her fight during the match. Must've been after me." Hours go by, matches finish, one even ended in a draw. Finally, it was the final match. Tobias and Alina - a girl wielding a gun, twirling it- walk to the center. "Aaaaand.... Begin!" The two gain distance between each other, assessing their opponent's abilties. "Proficient in Gunslinging, likely can out do me in close combat, fairly agile, however light weight and unarmored." Tobias says silently to himself, "If I can hit her, I'll be fine." Tobias cautiously fires a Magic Bolt, which she evades easily...

I wouldn't be surprised with "filler entries" since the change from a quest to twart Hornedtail was fairly recent.
Lorx, it wouldn't hurt to try. Besides your first entry (4 years ago) was decent. Tons might have changed over time and it really isn't hard to learn from mistakes when it comes to literature.
Didn't realize the thread was that old, wow. vgs, come to think of it I totally need to update the information thread, that's years out of date.
I may write something, but creative writing just isn't something I like doing much, so it's more likely I'll lurk. Most of my writing experience has been information-oriented, did a stint as a gaming news writer for a while etc etc.

This thread again! wait Lorx said that already. Lol but omg I forgot this thread even existed, tbh. hm... screw my old character lmao. I'll make yet another one. Maybe if this thread stays alive I can actually get into something decent within my story. I'm going to completely slightly disregard one of the rules and change up the "Ultimate Adventurer" thing. Normally, an Ultimate Adventurer starts at 50. But for story purposes, I'm starting it at Level 10. Anyway...
Name: Tobias Frost Class: Mage [takes the path Ice/Lightning] (Ultimate Adventurer) Look: Background Info: A child born under Cygnus, destined to be a mage. He wants to go the path of Ice and Lightning, understanding the fact that his special trait was fire. He can use his Ultimate Adventurer skill, though extremely weakly for now.
Chapter 1: New Beginnings "Hello Adventurers and Travelers, and welcome to the Second Annual Maple Combat!" The man above the field announced. "And I am proud to present you our combatants!" He gestures over to a group, the competitors, only competing for the prize. Other than one boy. He is doing it for the valuable experience. "Our first match up... Tobias the Mage versus... Nate the Mechanic!" Tobias and Nate walked in, both staring at each other in anticipation to their battle. "You don't stand a chance, child. What can you do, at such a low caliber of skill, to the impenetrable armor that I drive?" Nate says, laughing. "Don't under estimate the power of magic, sir." Tobias says quietly, smiling to himself. "He's already ruled me as an easy target. What a foolish man." He thought. "Alright, let the first match begin!" The announcer cries, leaving the field.
Nate rushed at Tobias with his ME-07 Drillhands, narrowly missing Tobias. "That's sharp..." Tobias mumbles to himself, "Better not be hit by that..." Tobias fires an energy bolt at the machine, but the machine is unharmed. "I told you, kid, it's impenetrable! Just give up and I won't have to squash you." Nate boasts. Tobias sighs. "Everybody looks down on me. Always." Tobias mumbles, then raises his voice. "Well I'm sick of it. I'll show you all the power of the Magician!" Tobias uses Magic Claw, denting part of the Mechanic's suit. "Just a scratch." Nate says, clearly unsettled by the small damage caused to his suit. "But you're gonna pay for it." Nate begins to fire his duo-gatling guns at Tobias. Tobias grunts and moves out of the way, firing magic bolts whenever there is an opening. "Quit running around, coward!" Nate yells, and uses the Flame Launcher attachment, torching the field. "This isn't good... I can't escape his range now..." Tobias thinks, "If only there was an opening in the center..." Then Tobias notices the spot pointing out from the armor. "That's it!" Tobias fires an energy bolt directly at the spot, causing the Mechanic's armor to fail. "What the hell?! Work you stupid machine work!" Nate yells, slamming the joysticks. "Checkmate, Nate." Tobias says, and nails him in the chest with a magic claw, pushing him off his suit. "The victor is... Tobias!" The announcer says, hovering a safe distance above the battlefield. "The first match of many..." Tobias sighs. "I'm ready."
