quoteI follow your logic, Fred, but I think the reason the price of beef is so low has less to do with the amount of pasture we have (it's shrinking, but the cost of the hamburger has remained basically the same adjusting for inflation) and more about the fact that we subsidize corn at a ridiculous amount and feed it to our cattle in little feed stations. Hell, Britain doesn't need that much land to raise corn-fed beef, and the U.S. is always looking at ways to get rid of the stuff (see: every single processed food product in your local grocery store). This means that the price of hamburger in America is about one-third of that of the UK. So people eat a lot of McDonald's.
quote Senator JawbreakerI do. I also moon the English any chance I get.Quit being silly. I might as well be saying that Jambo wears kilts 24/7 like the guys in Braveheart and eats Haggis everyday.
quote JamboMcDonald's selling so well in America is because it's cheap here. They do well in the U.S. because (unlike Europe) America has a huge amount of land to raise beef cattle on. This means that the price of hamburger in America is about one-third of that of the UK. So people eat a lot of McDonald's.Ok guys I have a question.
What goes on in your mind?
Been wanting to know for a while now.
Main part is suing over anything.
You shovel food down your throats, inevitably get fat then sue McDonalds for it? Why is that? Is it McDonalds fault your so greedy and lazy so burn it off?
quoteTwo issues here:Because of Americans suing, companies are now becoming so paranoid that when I bought a packet of peanuts, on the label there was a warning - "Warning this contains nuts".
quoteLogical enough? Are you guys seriously that warped in the mind?
Some logical answers would be nice into this suing mentality that you guys have.
