Intel chips may use more power but they get more done in the same amount of time. If you wan't to go spew that intel doesn't care about the environment you should run a side by side test of computer processing and see which platform gets the most work done per watt over x amount of time.

I have the 250 and am running 4x1gb sticks of Corsair Dominator 1066mhz ddr2 ram. With overclocking, I can hit 1120 with all 4 sticks in. With just two sticks in it can hit 1333mhz, with single digit latency drops. So I believe the conclusion on this subject is wrong.

If only they made a black edition, I'd downclock it and run it in my small, quiet case. Unfortunately, this review doesn't compare against AMD PhenomII on the basis of per-core performance.

The Athlon is back, but with a facelift. AMD's Athlon II X2 250 is a 45nm dual core Socket AM3 CPU rated 3GHz. Carl had a chance to put the new Athlon II X2 through the paces, and now it's your turn to see how it fared in Neoseeker's newest CPU review. Check it out!

edit: whoops, meant to say AM3 CPU!
