Stupid 6th grader snapped it in half. Then he came to my house and waved a brand new DS right in my face.

A similar story happened to my brother three years back, he would bring his Pokemon Ruby on the bus everyday after school during the ride home and play it. One day when he got home, he noticed it was missing and it turned out a kid(who shall remain nameless)that sits next to him nearly everyday snatched it from his backpack before he got off the bus. Since my brother was sure it was this guy, he would stalk him everyday for his game but the kid wouldn't give in, so he eventually had our parents call his parents about the matter. It turns out he confessed sooner or later but said he lost it over the time he had the game in his possession, so his parents had to pay my brother in full for said game.
True story.

Slap him upside the head, take the DS he waved in your face, and break his kneecaps. But be sure you do that after you get the money.
