just started Disgaea recently and onto chapter... 4 i think and i got Plenair at lv18 and everyone else is like 10- except Laharl who is lv13 any good recom places i can level at?
Thread Recap (last 10 posts from newest to oldest)
NIS just made it so gains don't scale to level, but rather increase exponentially or some such.
Gosh, I really do feel like re-playing Disgaea now for some reason >_> I just like how it feels to start a new Disgaea game, and watching my character grow. Hmmm, maybe I'll re-buy AoD in Digital form so I can play it on the PSV? Hopefully I can copy saves over to it >_>
Aye, it is pretty good if you can clear it fast enough.
Also, to level weaker allies, you can use my patented (no, not really) method to get 3 types of extra gains in one...
Use a strong ally (or several, if you can manage it) to weaken a large group of zombies (someone who can attack multiple at once), then stack them (throw the zombies on eachother). This way, it'll have reduced total HP, meaning an easier kill considering its higher level (though you may want to do combo attacks to increase damage gains and accuracy)....You'll gain more EXP for the ally that kills em, and gain more Mana and HL too....
Thank you... This was just the kind of tip I was looking for

i find that if your a low level 20 - 40 ish jothium (think that's how its spell it ) this map is all invincible but one square throw all the enemies into one get it to the invincible square and attack it until you kill it do this repeatedly until you stop gaining levels the pass s,e,b, (stronger enemies bill ) and repeat

Lol, I try ^_^ It helps when you've played the game for 100's of hours though XD
Well, done right, 1 to 2 hours when partway through the main story will mean the difference between 'challenging' and 'what? That was the last battle?'
But yeah, the post-game is where it is at.
In the main story, I did my special battle technique for both the level gains and HL gains. In the first cycle, good equips make a big difference, to a degree, moreso than levels. This becomes even more apparent in the post-game though....The difference between a level 9999 and level 1 laharl is actually not as big as many new people would think, when he has epic equips....The difference is mostly HP/SP (and stats that aren't boosted much if at all, by his equips)...
Sure, the level 9999 version would PWN the level 1 character no problem, but the level 1 character with the equips could kill level 9999 enemies with relatively little difficulty, again, assuming his equips were awesome (and doesn't have the unfortunate luck to miss, and have the enemy bypass his defense).

Tallteen is always helpful
Also, there is no real secret before beating the game. If you need some levels, it's like 1~2, and it will already make the difference. So any stage is easy for you, and don't think that it's better to waste 10 than 20 minutes to get 2 more levels. That's really not something to worry about.
Like they told you, the real leveling is after the game is beaten, and 10 minutes, 1 hour or 2 hours won't make a real difference. haha
You'll know what I'm talking about when you make it to the end of the game!

Got through quite a bit last night, on Chapter 7 now and just finished the first stage with -loads- of zombies and EXP panels... seems like it's a good place to grind?

Besides, you'll inevitably focus on one or two or a few primary characters for leveling in the post game anyhow...Getting everybody in your party high leveled and powerful takes a long time, especially when only some characters IMO, are really worth leveling up high.
Let yourself play through more of the game before you start making decisions to level up certain characters, especially after you find better creatable classes to use.

Item world, but I really wouldn't worry about that right now. if you're around the level the enemies are at any you're properly equipped, you shouldn't have any problems.
If your character levels are too uneven simply let weaker character kill more and hold back on your main thrashers.
You should only worry about serious grinding if you're doing post-game material.
