Go to the Neverwinter Nights site on Biowares page. For the Diamond edition you need to download the critical rebuild for the Hordes of the Underdark expansion. It says it is for NWN Diamond right next to it. It will be labeled 1.69 critical rebuild. Once it is downloaded, run the exe file and it should patch your game. Note, since I also use Vista to play, that I had to do a few things to keep the game from crashing on load. I had to set the program to run as an administrator, and I had to disable the intro movies by editing the NWN.ini text file in the Neverwinter Nights folder. There is an option under display that says DisableIntroMovies. It is equal to zero by default. Set the value equal to 1 to disable them. After doing this I was able to load the game fine, though Vista still yells at me during start-up for having my access controls changed from the default(running the program as an administrator does this).

hi folks, hope this isn't out of order but can anyone direct me to a website where I can download the patch for NWN DIAMOND? the game version is 1.66.+ and you need patch 1.69.8109. when I tried to patch usingn the nwn update button it tried to download an earlier version, then aborted. would really love to get back to the game. the joys of Vista . . .
