- From April 5th 2009 Fullmetal Alchemist begins it's second series, a new storyline told from the very beginning of the Elric Brothers' adventure.
As requested by Solitaire, Series 2 gets it's own thread, so if you wish to discuss the events of Series 1 or the OVA's, please use the current Series 1 thread for posting in. You can find the links above. In the same way, if you wish to discuss the Movie please take it to the Movie Thread.
Usually rules apply. No spamming or one-liners, and spoilers absolutely must be put in Spoiler Tags. Now, I personally can't wait for this to begin, and I know a lot of other people feel the same ^^

I remembered, just rarely come to the anime forum anymore.
Judging by the lack of responses, it would appear to be everyone that I'm not quoting.

Did you watch the original anime series?
*bleep*ing incredible how good both of them are. There are definitely things I liked better in the original anime (pretty much the development in the first 25 episodes or so). Hughes was much more fleshed out, Greed and his gang were *bleep*ing awesome and respectable, and Scar was handled beautifully. But god damn Brotherhood becomes awesome post-Rush Valley.

I haven't seen the anime yet but I just finished the manga so I'll post this here.
Good glory gosh that was mother*bleep*ing fantastic. I read the first PAGE of the manga and I immediately loved it; I ended up reading the 27 volumes in about two weeks. I could have knocked it down to one week if I ordered all of them from the library at once instead of ordering it in installments, but the point is that it was great and wonderful, and I wish I could un-read it, and re-read it all over again just so I can experience the wonder that was FMA for the very first time, a second time.
I can't even gush enough. I'm trying hard to gush more but I don't know how. There is not enough gush.
Izumi is wonderful and the Armstrongs are wonderful and everyone is wonderful and I love Greed.

So then I Milo's'd \D
So it's not actually HORRIBLE. It's hardly Brotherhood, don't get me even slightly wrong, but I went into it with no expectations and not really linking it to FMA in general and came out satisfied with an ok watch, not a *bleep*ing masterpiece by any stretch, but it kept me entertained.
I was under the impression it was utter shite.
