a ton of my friends tell me that say i ahve a lvl 1 warrior and i send him plate shoulders they will turn to mail...then at 40 they will go back to plate....is that true? or do they turn to mail and stay mail and i will have to get the emblems all over again at 40??? help a lost neoseeker

It sort of annoyed me when these were released because it proved that Blizzard was capable of making armor type dynamic on gear. There's a lot of mail or even plate that my balance druid wants to use and yet I can't for some reason. It's not because they don't want me to have nice gear, it's because encumbering the game with too many pieces of armor is silly. Why can't all gear just be armor-type-less and have your highest level of armor type applied when you loot it?
