tbh I still think he looks like some mad scientist has created his head from various bits of other people, just doesn't look right at all, and that bow tie just makes him look even worse

They are ruining the show. He looks crap and the less said about her the better. The only successful female assistant for me was Billie Piper. Donna was average but repetitive with all the shouting.

Haha wow, so much hate for the guy already...

JOHNSON(!!!) would have been epic, but this guy seems interesting. I think he will be alright, and am certainly giving him the benefit of the doubt for now, since Spring 2010 is a long way away...

I liked Donna also, simply because it was unbelievably refreshing to have an assistant that wasn't stupidly in love with the Doctor...Donna felt much like an assistant. Rose and Martha weren't assistants, but just silly fangirls...

I very much doubt they're going to have a black doctor (or a female one as rumoured - Catherine Zeta Jones

) anytime soon if at all. For having female... it's wrong...imagine this: two time lords are married... ones a girl ones a guy... the girl dies and regenerates into a guy... whoopdidoo... now the time lords married to a guy... no, I very much they'd have a gender changing doctor.

For having the first black doctor, truth fully... I just don't see it happening... it'd be too much of a change, and if anything they seem to be wanting younger and younger doctors... and I'd bet the twelth doctor will either be younger than the age of 26...

And here's me thinking that ALAN *bleep*ING JOHNSON from Peep Show was gonna be the Doctor...then we get some angsty emo kid.

Oh and on the subject of Catherine Tate, she should never be allowed to be in Doctor Who again. She completely ruined the last series and I couldn't watch it because of it. I hope she gets ditched so I can watch it again.

Haha. This guy seems like an arse actually, i watched an interview or two with him, not a fan.

I quite liked Donna, although Tate's voice did get on my nerves sometimes. No idea what they'll do this year, assistant-wise, but hopefully she'll be young and sexy.
