I've got sixty pounds now, to spend on one or two ds games. What games do you suggest? Games like PW or an RRG would be a good reccomendation, but anything if you want to reccomend.

ok so noticed this thread isnt very active but thought i'd give it a shot anyway. I just finished 999: Nine persons, Nine Hours, Nine Doors, which is fantastic game btw. But wondering if anyone that's played it would suggest a game somewhat similair. I like games that make you think.

Chrono Trigger = Possibly my favorite game of all time. I don't think it comes across as dated or "nostalgic" in any way at all. If you're into RPGs, you'll love it. If you're not into RPGs, this game takes the conventions and makes them feel fresh and original: to give examples, random battles can be seen and avoided, the battles themselves take place on the regular game screen (no special battle format) and while they are turn-based, they also occur in real time so you have to think on your feet and act quickly. I couldn't reccommend it highly enough..... but then again Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is also a great option.

Metroid Prime: Hunters and Mario And Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story.

You keep them for as long as you want. You can recruit new characters at anytime, and store the ones you don't want to have traveling with you.

I feel like the party system is kind of weird. Making your own party is cool, but can you only use them for one mission, or can you keep your party members for as long as you want?

I don't know, but if you enjoy Dragon Quest games then there's no reason to skimp out on this one. It's still one of the best looking DS games to date, and like I said, there's plenty to keep you busy.

Well, I have 1 friend to play with and wifi. Is that good enough?

Dragon Quest IX is really only worth it if you've got Wi-Fi and friends to play with. The story is mediocre and lacks any real depth, as do the characters. The multiplayer is enough to make you want to overlook the primitive design and numerous cliches though, and it is my understanding that new quests will be made available for download each week, so there will be plenty to keep yourself occupied with.
