I've been thinking that the Maximum Size for an avatar is rather small, at 65x65 pixels. I suggest that the Maximum Size be increased to about 80x80 pixels, so that people may have more detail in their avatars, etc. What do you think?
Thread Recap (last 10 posts from newest to oldest)
My signature has damn near every color of the rainbow and Kokoro's just has a pair of tits.
You're saying your eyes go directly to larger avatars, but not vibrant signatures like the ones I said. Your's is beating red after all.
Many people, myself included have signatures disabled. I would support up to 75x75 but if you start getting bigger then, in my opinion, posts don't look as sleek and neat.
Also, Lorx: Check this out. Looks a lot like Neoseeker, huh? It can be done. I can't fathom how enlarging avatars is a bad thing. If people want text in there, then it only opens up more options. If you really think the flashy stuff takes focus away from the text, I'd say getting rid of signatures entirely isn't a bad idea.
We're at a difference of opinion there then, I can't help but find my eye drawn to the avatars there far more than here.
Neater is probably a better way to say it in the end, more synonymous with what I'm trying to say.

It all boils down to personal taste, if you don't find 100x100 obtrusive or messy in some manner, great. I'm not a big fan, but that's just my opinion. We don't have to convince each other of anything here. Difference of opinion reached, watch as others post their thoughts, and then watch action from admins about avatar size, life continues.

Oh wow, I completely ignored that part of his post.
However, I do quite enjoy how I worded my last post to you, so I'm just going to leave it be.

There's no reason not to keep people from having larger avatars because others like the "simplicity" of Neoseeker...whatever the hell that means.
I don't see how you can be quoting the word "simplicity" when it was never used...at all.
What I actually said was the things look neater with smaller avatars.
Neatness =/= Simplicity
I don't know where the hell you got that idea from.

Simplicity being the difference between neoseeker's current theme and things like this, as a black & white example. Too much graphics, background noise, and unrestricted avatar and signature limits pulls the focus away from what's being said, which is the entire point of visiting a forum. While the bells and whistles are nice, the main reason to be here is what we're doing right now. Anything that pulls attention away from the actual meat of a post, rather than supplement it, is counter-productive (You probably already know that).
