My Son is now a teenager, and I've been working really hard to either have him as an artist or musician. When I bought the bear, he didn't seem to get any more rebellious than he was before (I'm also in chapter 4), and his bars for those careers didn't seem to go down. He did have a good sized bar in scholar, ranching and athleticism, and those didn't seem to go down either, although those aren't the ones I was really paying attention to...

Thanks, that was me, just not yet registered....so yeah I just joined. I have been watching Derrick (my son) and he sometimes sits right next to Daachan. Weird.

The gifts you buy for your child will determine what he'll become, as will who you are friends with and who you leave him with (when he's younger). I can't remember what the bear influences, maybe something art oriented?
Celia's kid has very high interests in things garden and farm-like. So show him to the appropriate people, I can't remember who it is that has animals....befriend them and the like, maybe show him some animals or something. But since he's how he is, he will 'naturally' steer himself towards a Rancher career.
The bear won't ruin your chances, but if haven't been specific with your choices, he may choose something else. Kinda sad when you realize you're living your life through your son...

I really am in a fix. I married Celia and I really want my son (Derrick) to become a rancher. But, out of curiousity, I bought Daachan, the creepy bear. I am almost to Chapter Four, when Derrick becomes a teenager. Does Daachan discourage your son's want in a carrer? Thanks, I really appreciate it. PS- I heard that Daachan gives your son an attitude. Is this true?
