I'm pretty sure you'd have to connect it to the modem too.

Ok, so I have a wireless internet connection on my main computer. Is there a way I can share the internet connection from my main computer with a computer sitting right next to in through an ethernet cable?

Basically:

[Wireless Router] (((-Wireless Signal-))) [[Main Computer]]===Ethernet Cord===[[Other Computer]]
